1955 Chevrolet Bel Air
4 Door Sedan

Owners:
Eric Frimodt, Redmond, WA
In
October of 2005, I had my first “mid-life crisis” and I decided
that I needed to fulfill my longtime desire to own a classic 1955
Chevrolet. I found this car while looking at all of the classic
55-56-57s Chevys listed on Ebay. Since the car was located nearby
in Covington, Washington, I told my wife I was simply going to “look”
at this car. Little did she know what that would lead to. It was
love at first sight and I knew that I had to buy this car. A special
thanks to Art for selling his baby to me!
I am the third
owner of this all original India Ivory/Harvest Gold 1955 Chevrolet
Bel Air 4 Door Sedan. The prior owner had this car for nearly 30
years and he took great care of the car, keeping it garaged and
putting only about 5,000 miles on it during that time. The total
original mileage is approximately 65,000 miles. This car was originally
purchased from University Chevrolet in Seattle. I was informed that
this car was a promotional car used by the dealership to advertise
many of the new options available on the 1955 Chevrolets. The options
include: 265 c.i. V-8 engine, automatic transmission, factory power
windows and seats, power steering, power brakes, Wonder Bar signal
seeking radio, and fender skirts. The car also came with a Fulton
traffic light viewer and a number of other accessory items.
My plan is to keep this car in original condition and to restore
it back to nearly new condition over time. In the meantime, I plan
to drive it “as is” and to enjoy this beautiful classic. Even in
its current condition, it gets plenty of honks and waves when I
take it out for a drive. Don’t tell my wife, but my next mid-life
crisis might just be a 1957 Chevy convertible. I think I better
wait a while though!
